TAC L2P Program
The TAC L2P Program supports learner drivers to gain the road experience required to achieve a probationary licence.
Eligible young learner drivers are provided with a L2P trained mentor driver to supervise their driving hours.
You can apply to the program as a learner driver or a volunteer mentor.
Learner driver application
To be eligible to join the L2P program, the young person must:
- be between 16 and 20 years of age;
- have a current learner’s permit;
- NOT have access to a supervising driver, and/or;
- NOT have access to a vehicle.

Mentor driver application
The TAC L2P program relies on volunteers to supervise learner drivers.
If you can donate one or two hours per week to supervise a learner driver, please consider becoming a mentor driver. The L2P Program provides training to all Mentor Drivers.
