Sorrento Foreshore Camping
The Sorrento foreshore reserves are open for camping from the last weekend in October through to the last weekend in April. These campgrounds are currently closed. Bookings for the next camping season will open online Tuesday 1 August 2023 at midday.
The village of Sorrento is only a short drive away, as is the Sorrento to Queenscliff ferry which crosses Port Phillip Bay to the Bellarine Peninsula and the Great Ocean Road.
The Sorrento campground is located on the foreshore reserve between the main road and the beach. Sites may be irregular in size and shape as they are set in the natural environment. Camping amenities include toilet, shower and laundry facilities. There are both powered and non-powered sites. Water taps are shared and are not for exclusive use for any site.
The Sorrento Foreshores are managed by the Shire. Foreshore camping is available from the last weekend of October just in time for the Melbourne Cup weekend to April. Camping outside these times is not permitted. The foreshore camping grounds offer both powered and non-powered sites for caravans and tents.
