Important update regarding rates notices
What has changed with the rates notices?
As part of a recent system upgrade, new Reference Numbers have been issued to every property.
Changes to the Direct Debit 9 monthly arrangement.
Mornington Peninsula Shire has recently transitioned all rates direct debit arrangements to a new payment platform called Payble. As part of this change, the previous 9-month direct debit payment option is no longer available.
Your direct debit plan has now been updated to follow the standard 4-instalment schedule, which aligns with the due dates outlined in your 2025/2026 Annual Rates & Valuation Notice.
You can still pay monthly by scanning the QR code on your annual rate notice which takes you directly to the Payble site to set up your new arrangement which offers flexible payment options of weekly, fortnightly, monthly or 4 instalments.
How can I make a payment?
To pay via BPAY, please use the Reference Number provided on your rate notice. These details are essential for ensuring your payment is processed correctly.
My previous online payment was rejected. What should I do?
If you tried to pay via online banking using a previously saved Shire Biller Code and Reference Number, your payment would have been rejected. Please refer to your current rate notice for the updated Reference Number. The Shire's Biller Code remains the same, 20537.
