Model Code of Conduct
The Model Code of Conduct sets out the standards of conduct expected to be observed by Councillors in the course of performing their duties and functions. View - Model Councillor Code of Conduct

Internal Resolution Procedure
The Internal Resolution Procedure is adopted in accordance with section 140 of the Local Government Act 2020 and regulation 12A of the Local Government (Governance and Integrity) Regulations 2020
It outlines the process for managing alleged breaches of the Model Councillor Code of Conduct and encourages resolution of disputes between Councillors through staged internal steps—starting with direct discussion, followed by conciliation and, if needed, external mediation. Councillor Expenses 
Under the Local Government Act 2020, Councillors are entitled to two types of payments. The first is an allowance, or yearly remuneration and the second is reimbursements for any reasonable expenses incurred as a Councillor. View - Councillor Expenses

Single Councillor ward structure

The Shire has moved to a single Councillor ward structure.

This comes following an electoral structure review by the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) that took place in late 2023.

The Shire is one of 39 Councils to have its electoral structure reviewed because of new requirements under the Local Government Act 2020.
