Cr. Paul Pingiaro is the newly elected Councillor for Tanti Ward and Deputy Mayor of the Mornington Peninsula Shire. A passionate local and small business owner in Mornington, Cr. Pingiaro’s family has lived in the area for over 100 years.He resides in Mornington with his wife and two children and has been actively engaged with the community for the past 18 years. During this time, Cr. Pingiaro has worked to understand the needs of local residents and find practical solutions to improve the area.Cr. Pingiaro is the owner of Mornington Boat Hire, where he employs locals and invests back into the community. He collaborates with organizations like BirdLife Australia on environmental initiatives and works with multiple local schools to facilitate outdoor adventures. His formal qualifications include a commercial pilot's license, a boat captain’s license, a Diploma of Applied Science in Transportation (Aviation), and certificates in Business Management and Marine Operations.Cr. Pingiaro has received numerous awards, including two Mornington Peninsula Heritage Awards and seven Victorian Tourism Awards for Cultural and Adventure Tourism.Cr. Pingiaro is dedicated to making the Mornington Peninsula a thriving, sustainable, and safe place for all residents.
