Councillor Andrea Allen was elected to the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council in 2024 and represents Nepean Ward.
Cr Allen’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts/Commerce majoring in Politics and Economics from Monash University, as well as a Master of Taxation from UNSW. She spent 14 years in the Federal Public Service, including 18 months at Parliament House as a Departmental Liaison Officer in a Federal Minister’s Office.
Cr Allen has a lifelong association with Nepean Ward and substantial local knowledge. Growing up, her family had a well used beach house in Rye. Her parents retired to the area in the early 2000s and she become a permanent resident of Blairgowrie with her husband in 2014.
Prior to being elected to Council, she was appointed to the Mornington Peninsula Shire Coastal Advisory Group for Port Phillip South.
