Background & Incorporated Documents

Incorporated Documents are documents that officially form part of the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme by reference, rather than being physically added to the planning scheme. Incorporated Documents are important because they must be read in conjunction with the planning scheme, and hold the same legal weight as any other part of the planning scheme.

Background Documents don’t form part of the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme. Instead, they provide the context and reasons behind why, and how, certain parts of the planning scheme were developed.

Incorporated Documents are listed at the Schedule to Clause 72.04 of the Mornington Peninsula Planning Scheme. Copies of all Incorporated Documents can be downloaded from the State Government’s website
