Proposed Public Memorial In Flinders Commemorating Gladys Aarons
Council has received a request to install a public memorial at the eastern end of Cove Lane, Flinders, near the start of the beach access track, in memory of Gladys Aarons.
Mrs Aarons was a founding member of ‘Friend of Flinders Coastline’ and made a valuable contribution to the bushland regeneration in the Flinders area, to the Flinders Coastline and to her community.
It is proposed that the memorial will be in the form of a large natural rock affixed with a commemorative plaque.
Council will receive submissions from any interested persons in relation to the proposal to install a public memorial in Flinders commemorating Glady Aarons. Written submissions can be sent via post: Private Bag 1000, Rosebud, 3939 or via email to: firstname.lastname@example.org and must be received within 30 days of this notice.
