Container Deposit Scheme

Victoria’s much anticipated container deposit scheme, CDS Vic, began on 1 November 2023.

CDS Vic will allow Victorians to return certain used drink cans, bottles and cartons for a 10-cent refund. 

To date over a billion containers have been returned.

There are 3 Return-It depots in Rosebud, Dromana and Mornington together with one in Hastings run by Hoxton Industries. There are also many Over the counter locations across the Peninsula Locations - Return It

Return-It has been confirmed as the Container Deposit Scheme network operator for Mornington Peninsula Shire.

For charities, community groups and sports club, Return-It can provide 240L wheelie bins or bulk bags to assist with collecting and transporting containers to the depots.
