Engineering Plan Assessment, Approval, Fees & Development Inspections
Engineering Plan Assessment
Engineering assessments play an important role in town planning applications. Issues relating to stormwater drainage, flooding, roads, traffic, parking, lighting and other Council infrastructure are assessed.
Your engineering plans must be prepared by an appropriately qualified Civil Engineering consultant. This design process ensures all developments and subdivisions can be constructed so they do not negatively impact the existing infrastructure.
Designs for new residential estates are also assessed to confirm they meet current Australian Standards and Council policies, ensuring the best design and construction methodologies are used.
Please submit your plans to dev.eng@mornpen.vic.gov.au
When to submit your engineering plans
The Shire will only review your Engineering Plans after:
- Your development Condition 1 plans must have been endorsed by Council's Statutory Planning Unit. You may submit your plans before your Condition 1 plans are endorsed, however they will not be reviewed until after endorsement.
- You or your design consultant have completed the downloadable Engineering Plan Checklist(PDF, 233KB).
