The McCrae, Rosebud, Rye, and Sorrento campgrounds are part of a Crown Land reserve and operate seasonally from late October through late April/Early May each year.

Online bookings are now open for the 2026-27 Camping Season

Peak Season (19 Dec - 30 Jan)

  • All peak season booking must arrive and depart on a Saturday
  • Currently a minimum 14-night stay applies for peak season bookings
  • The minimum nights will change to 7 at midday Monday 7 September
  • From midday Monday 30 November a minimum of 1 night will apply to any remaining sites
  • Other booking conditions apply - refer to Conditions of Camping on this page

Season dates and maximum stay

  • Pre-Peak: 23 Oct 2026 – 19 Dec 2026
    Maximum stay per booking: 21 nights
  • Peak: 19 Dec 2026 – 30 Jan 2027
    Maximum stay per booking: 35 nights 
  • Post-Peak: 30 Jan 2027 – 2 May 2027
    Maximum stay per booking: 21 nights
  • The minimum stay for peak season will change to 7 nights on midday Monday 7 September
  • The minimum stay for peak season will change to 1 night on midday Monday 30 November
  • March 2027 – Labour Day long-weekend, minimum 3 nights from Friday 26 February
  • March 2027 – Easter, minimum 4 nights from Thursday 26 March

Booking information

Please read the Conditions of Camping before making a booking. Key points include:

  • Family friendly campgrounds. No noise permitted after 11pm
  • A maximum of 6 people per site with a maximum of 4 adults (18+)
  • Water taps are not provided at every site and are not for exclusive use
  • Family/All Accessible change amenities are located in some sections
  • Campers must ensure a 2-metre clearance between sites for fire services
  • Only gas or electric BBQs allowed. No solid fuel fires are permitted at any time
  • No pets. (Qualified and registered assistance dogs are welcome. Please contact the office before booking)

Important Update

We no longer accept applications for a ballot or waiting list in Rosebud for peak season. This change ensures fair and equal access to peak-season sites for everyone.
