Update - 16 April 2025

We are working closely with the Board of Inquiry to support its investigation into the causes of the McCrae landslide. We have received several requests for documents and information and are working hard to ensure the Inquiry has everything it needs.

At the request of the Inquiry Chair, Renee Enbom KC, we made Dromana Community Hall available on Wednesday 9 April as a venue for her to informally meet with residents affected by the landslide. During her visit, Ms Enbom was also able to view the landslide site from outside the exclusion zone.

We continue to investigate the causes of the landslide. Meanwhile, our priority is helping evacuated residents retrieve their belongings through supervised visits. These visits follow strict safety protocols, including hazard identification, risk assessment and continuous monitoring of the area, both visually and electronically. Safety remains our top priority.

We fully support the aim of the Inquiry and have worked hard to ensure the Chair, Renee Enbom KC, has all the information she needs.
