Staying safe around water

The Mornington Peninsula has over 190km of coastline, making it the ideal beach destination. Please always remember to be safe around water, for more information on water safety visit Water Safety | vic.gov.au. It is also important to be aware of beach water quality forecasts, you can view the current water quality and sign up to the SMS Alert Services at EPA Victoria | Beach Report.

Emergency

Dial 000 in case of emergency to contact Police, Fire or Ambulance. Calls to 000 can be made for free from mobile, home or pay phones.

Emergency App

For the latest emergency information, we recommended downloading the Vic Emergency App and turning on notifications. This will help you stay safe and keep you aware of emergency situations while exploring the Mornington Peninsula, Visit Vic Emergency for more information.

TAC Pause Stop

The pause stop program is an initiative by the TAC that encourages drivers to stop regularly to recharge and reduce driver fatigue on long journeys.The Mornington Peninsula Visitor Centre is part of this program and welcomes visitors who just need a rest.
