Paddle. Picnic. Protect. With Wild Adventures Melbourne
In this episode of Live the Local Experience, we chat with Nic Cooper, founder of Wild Adventures Melbourne (WAM), about eco-conscious travel, protecting local places and finding adventure with purpose.
Nic’s tours aren’t just about getting outside. They’re about slowing down, connecting with nature, supporting local producers and exploring in a way that gives back. Based on the Mornington Peninsula, Wild Adventures Melbourne runs small group day tours that include stand-up paddleboarding, guided bushwalks, wildlife encounters, thermal hot springs and picnics featuring local food and wine. Every experience is designed with sustainability and low-impact travel in mind.
Nic shares how Wild Adventures Melbourne began, what it means to lead with purpose and why tourism should leave places better than we find them.
If you're curious about the future of travel or how your next adventure could help protect the places you love, this episode is for you.

Meet Nic Cooper - Founder of Wild Adventures Melbourne

Nic Cooper grew up welcoming visitors into his family's guest house, an early glimpse into the power of tourism. His love of travel took him around the world, where he saw firsthand how tourism can both inspire and impact the places we visit.
Now based on the Mornington Peninsula, Nic founded Wild Adventures Melbourne to offer something different, adventures with purpose. Each small group tour is designed to celebrate local places, support regional producers and care for the natural environment.
His tours invite people to slow down, get outdoors and experience the Peninsula in a way that’s active, meaningful and genuinely local.
