Every day you rely on our roads, bridges, parks, marine structures, recreation facilities, drainage systems and community buildings.

Our draft Asset Management Strategy 2026 – 2036 is our plan for keeping these vital assets safe, reliable and serving our community well into the future – and it’s now open for community feedback.

You're the ones who use these assets. Your insights about what's working, what isn't and what matters most to our community will help us refine our approach and priorities.

The Strategy focuses on getting the basics right – maintaining what we already have, planning ahead for repairs and upgrades, and keeping our community facilities and infrastructure safe and dependable.

It also looks ahead, making sure our assets are sustainable and able to support the services and spaces our growing community needs.

Feedback will help shape the final Strategy before it goes to Council for adoption in December. Help ensure our asset management approach truly serves our community's needs by filling in the survey.

Alongside the Asset Management Strategy, our draft Asset Plan 2025-26 to 2035-36 is also out for feedback.

While the Strategy explains how we’ll look after our assets day-to-day, the Plan looks further ahead – showing how we’ll care for, improve and renew our community’s facilities and infrastructure over the next 10 years. You may want to have your say on this too.

Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh:

“This Strategy is about more than maintaining Council’s assets – it’s about supporting the people who use them every day. We’re inviting the community to share their ideas and experiences, because your input will help us shape a plan that keeps our facilities safe, reliable and future-ready, so they can be enjoyed for generations to come.”
