Friends Groups of Bushland and Foreshore Reserves
Friends Groups are community members who volunteer their time to protect and enhance biodiversity values in their local bushland or foreshore reserve.
Friends Groups hold working bees throughout the year, usually for a few hours each month, where volunteers get involved in range of activities including weeding, mulching, planting and litter collection.
Participating in a working bee requires no previous experience. The Shire works in partnership with Friends Groups, providing support at working bees, tools, training, advice and all equipment.
