The project aims to install an additional Raised Safety Intersection (RSIs) where Watt Road & Bruce Street, Mornington intercept, to improve traffic safety. These treatments are speed calming devices capable of reducing driver’s operating speed, hence reducing the vehicle’s overall risk of collision.

Project Scope:

Installation of a new traffic calming device, Raised Safety Intersection at the intersection of Watt Road & Bruce Street, Mornington.
Upgrading light poles to support Raised Safety Intersection visibility.
Other associated line-marking with improved delineation.
A concrete apron will be installed to support the turning movements of 19-metre semi-trailer trucks, ensuring accessibility for larger vehicles.

Works are anticipated to commence in October 2025.
