Pay my rates

Payment can be as a lump sum, in part payments or by instalments:

  • Pay your rates in full by 15 February 2023
  • Pay your rates by instalments as follows:
  • 30 September 2022
  • 30 November 2022
  • 28 February 2023
  • 31 May 2023

If paying by instalments, the first instalment must be paid by 30 September 2022.  Payments received after 30 September 2022 will be treated as part payments only and the balance must be paid in full by 15 February 2023.

When should I expect to receive my instalment notices?  3 weeks before the payment due date.

When should I expect to receive my annual rates notice? Late-August 2022

My details have changed, how do I update them?  Use our online forms to let us know of your change of address or change of name.

How to Pay

Payment by Direct Debit

We offer Direct Debit with the option of paying nine monthly payments. Part payments of rates may be made at any time throughout the year once a payment arrangement has been entered into with our Revenue team by calling us on 5950 1080

Online Payments

Pay online by credit card through our online payment portal.

Online payments from your savings or cheque account may be made at PostBillPay and the details on the Post Billpay details on the front of your notice.

BPAY - Telephone and Internet Banking Payments 

BPAY lets you receive, store and pay your bills all within your online banking, please refer to your bank or financial institution.  You will be required to enter the Biller Code and BPAY reference detailed on the front of your rates notice.

In Person 

You can pay your rates in person by cash, cheque, money order, credit card or BPay at any of our Customer Service Centres between 9.00am - 4.30pm, Monday - Friday (except public holidays).  Please present your rates and valuation notice intact.  Please make cheques payable to 'Mornington Peninsula Shire'.

By Mail

Payments can be made quickly and easily using credit card via an automated payment service. Accepted cards are Mastercard and VISA.

This payment option is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from most push button phones.
