Declared Fire Danger Period
The Fire Danger Period ended 1am 1 May 2025. We are now outside the Fire Danger Period.
A Fire Danger Period is a time of increased fire danger. The Country Fire Authority (CFA) restricts the use of fire in the community during the Fire Danger Period to help prevent fires from starting and spreading.
During the Fire Danger Period
The CFA declares the Fire Danger Period at the onset of warmer weather.
When fire restrictions are in force, burning off is prohibited without a permit, including on roadsides. Reports of burning off are to be called through to 000. Do not report burning off to Council.
For information on permits visit firepermits.vic.gov.au.
It is the responsibility of all residents to ensure they are aware of and comply with fire restriction conditions.
For all warnings and restrictions, visit the CFA's website.
