Renew health, accommodation or aquatic facility business registration

As a registered health business, you will be required to renew your registration each year. You will receive a notice when it's time to renew your registration. You can then follow the steps below.

Renew your registration

Step 1.Review your renewal application

You will receive a renewal application by email. This renewal will include details of your registration. Please check all of these details to make sure that they are correct. Please also check your fee against the current fee schedule (below) to make sure you're categorised correctly.

If your operations have changed and you believe you have not been charged for the correct category, please contact us.

Step 2.Pay the fee and lodge your renewal application

In order to renew your registration, you'll need to pay your renewal fee and submit your application along with any changes to your details.

You can pay for and lodge your renewal by BPAY online. Please note, in order to do this, you will need to know your registration number. This will be included on the renewal application you have received (e.g. H-2000/0001 or PSP000/00).

Renew Online

The registration number for your renewal payment is on the top right-hand corner of your emailed renewal of registration form. If you can’t find your registration number, please contact the Environmental Health Team on phone (03) 5950 1373.

Payment can be made by BPay, credit card over the phone or in person at any Shire Customer Service Centre, quoting your registration number for

the Shire cashier receipt.

Note: If paying by BPAY please ENSURE TO COMPLETE THE BPAY PAYMENT PROCESS then complete the online renewal of registration form (Renew Online link).

Step 3.Receive your certificate of registration

Once we have received your registration fee and your application for renewal, your application will be assessed by an Environmental Health Officer.

Once your application for renewal has been approved you will receive a PDF certificate of registration for the new registration period.

I would like a paper copy of the renewal of registration form

The Environmental Health Team has moved to online renewal forms and certificates as a streamlined way to manage business registrations.

I have recently taken over the business. Can I just change details?

You can change the details on your application for your renewal. However, you will also need to transfer the registration.

What happens if I do not renew my registration by the final payment due date?

You will be operating a business illegally and Council has an obligation to take further action against you which could involve penalties under relevant legislation.
