Mornington Peninsula Seniors Festival

Mornington Peninsula Shire’s much-loved Seniors Festival, part of Victoria’s state-wide celebration returns this October, shining a spotlight on the contributions and creativity of our senior community.

Seniors Festival invites residents aged 55+ to Connect, Create and Celebrate through a lively and inclusive program of events across the Peninsula’s coast, townships and hinterland. With more than 90 events on offer, there’ll be something for everyone to explore.

Highlights include:

  • Get Active Expo at YMCA Camp Manyung, Mount Eliza, 1 October
  • Concert by Gypsy, a Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band at George Jenkins Theatre, 25 October 
  • The launch of the new outdoor Exercise Parks for Seniors in Mount Martha, 7 October and Hastings Foreshore, 10 October
  • Multicultural Film Festival, Rosebud Cinema, 18 October
  • Victorian Pride Centre Bus Tour, St Kilda 21 October

The full Seniors Festival 2025 Event Guide will be available at our customer service centres, libraries, community centres, and online from the start of September. 

All events are free or low cost and bookings are essential for most events. The Shire is providing transport services to some of these key events through our Community Transport team. If you need a lift, contact us on 5950 1605

Lets look back at Seniors Festival 2024

The 2024 Mornington Peninsula Seniors Festival was a great success. The festival hosted over 70 events and activities that were attended by 2,754 older people. A mix of small club morning teas to larger concerts and speaker events to some key highlights, including the concert by the Pianomen at the George Jenkins Theatre in Frankston and the Get Active Expo at Camp Manyung in Mount Eliza.
