Mornington Botanical Rose Gardens is a vibrant display of over 4,000 roses that offers a spectacular visual and sensory experience. Meticulously tended to by a hardworking team of volunteers, the rose garden is open to the public 7 days a week, 365 days of the year. Entry is free, but gold coin donations are welcome and will contribute to the diligent maintenance of the garden.

Seawinds Gardens (Arthurs Seat)
Perched atop Arthurs Seat, Seawinds Gardens spreads out across 34 hectares, with lookout points that offer panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay and the Peninsula. There is ample parking, toilets, a number of shaded walking trails, a playground area, picnic tables and electric barbecues, making it the ideal destination for a full day out with friends or family. Heronswood is renowned for its glorious ornamental gardens, colourful flower displays, impressive vegetable gardens and bountiful fruit trees. Visit the nursery and garden shop to stock up on heirloom seeds, shrubs and rare plants or enjoy a meal at the café in the historic Heronswood house, which serves fresh produce directly from the gardens. Heronswood also offers workshops and events, making it an engaging destination for green thumbs and casual visitors alike.
Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens (Shoreham)
A family favourite, Ashcombe Maze and Lavender Gardens is a whimsical place for all ages. It boasts Australia’s oldest hedge maze, acres of woodland gardens and a lavender labyrinth that blooms in vivid purple hues. Get delightfully lost in the mazes or embark upon the self-guided Ashcombe Garden Discovery Trail. There are ponds, fountains and other water features scattered around, as well as a picturesque lake at the bottom of the property. Panorama Wildlife Sanctuary and Secret Garden (Boneo)
This privately owned estate spans 55 acres, featuring themed gardens, artistic installations and panoramic views of the surrounding coastline and landscapes. Over 20,000 plants call Panorama Wildlife Sanctuary and Secret Garden home, as well as a number of farm and native animals such as peacocks, emus, wallabies, alpacas, miniature goats and so much more. Meander through the spectacular gardens and enjoy the charming cacophony of sounds from the wildlife. A wonderful blend of horticulture, wildlife and creativity. Pioneer Memorial Garden (Sorrento)
On the southern end of the Peninsula lies a sunken garden, established in 1983, that commemorates the early pioneers of the Sorrento district. The historical Watts Cottage, built in 1870, is an example of the early homes of the European settlers and was relocated to the Pioneer Memorial Gardens in 1988. With the Nepean Historical Society Museum just next door, a visit to the gardens is the perfect quiet, reflective space for history buffs who want to get a deeper understanding of the area’s rich history.
The Briars (Mount Martha)
