Food Trucks
We offer food truck permits at 11 fixed locations, as well as four Residential Roaming Permits. Food truck permits will start 1 May annually, with 50 per cent of permit fees required to be paid on this date, followed by the remaining fee payable before 31 August.
Over winter, winter permits are additionally available at three locations. These permits will run from 1 May – 30 September annually.
Residential roaming permits allow one van within each of the four designated areas. These can be any food truck that is wanting to roam within the Shire, such as ice-cream or coffee vans.
Food Truck Policy
The Food Truck Policy includes major changes shaped with the help of the community, including permits for a three-year period, additional fixed food truck locations and set fees for each site.
Our Food Truck Policy offers clear structure around our waitlist options, while the addition of a new Community Amenity Local Law 2022, supports the enforcement of illegal operation of food trucks across the Peninsula.
