Rosebud: Second Avenue Drainage Improvement

As a result of extreme weather events, intense rainfall has caused flooding in various residential areas. Through the Council Flood Mitigation Strategy, budget has been made available to proactively address these drainage issues.

One such area identified is Second Avenue, Rosebud. A hydraulic investigation of this area has been undertaken, and it has been determined that extra drainage capacity would help mitigate a surface flood occurring.

The proposed works comprise of the construction of two underground soakage pits, connected to the existing drainage network. Construction commenced in October and was completed mid-November 2024.
