Accessible Playgrounds on the Mornington Peninsula

Mornington Peninsula Shire has 145 playgrounds, offering a variety of play experiences and equipment designed to suit all ages and abilities.

A highlight is the award-winning playground at Olivia Way in Hastings. This playground provides a safe and accessible outdoor play zone with accessible paths and picnic tables.

Many other playgrounds in the area feature liberty swings and communication boards, ensuring inclusive fun for everyone. 

Liberty swings

Liberty swings can be used by people in wheelchairs and are available at the following playgrounds.

  • Pelican Park Recreation Centre, Hastings
  • Lawson Park on Leon Avenue, Rosebud

A series of communication boards for alternative or additional communication needs can be found at the following playgrounds.
