Statement from Mayor Cr Anthony Marsh

This morning, I spoke to Raf Epstein on ABC Radio Melbourne to provide an update on the McCrae landslide.

We continue collaborating closely with the State Emergency Service (SES), South East Water and other emergency services, and relevant agencies. We have also contacted the State Government and Emergency Recovery Victoria (ERV) to see what support they can provide.  

Extensive testing continues. This remains a complex and evolving issue. 

We assure the community that we are diligently investigating the source and cause of the landslide, with community and site safety a priority. We are in direct contact with affected residents and homeowners and will continue to provide updates as new information becomes available.
