Joining us on Friday 15 March is leading Oud virtuoso and composer Joseph Tawadros performing live as part of our ongoing showcase series.

Born in Cairo, Joseph specialises in the Oud, an instrument that holds roots as an Arabic lute, the ancestor of the lute and modern guitar. Whether performing solo, or collaboratively alongside his percussionist brother James, or chamber and symphony orchestras internationally, Joseph's artistry shines. His innovative Concerto for Oud & Orchestra was brought to life by the Sydney Symphony and recorded by ABC Classics in 2019.
