Farmgates

Mornington Peninsula Shire is home to a diverse range of food and beverage producers and what better way to take advantage of all this fresh produce than to buy directly from the farmer? Drop in to some of the family run orchards, market gardens, dairies and farmgates and you will come away with flavour filled nutritious food that is in season now. By shopping at farmgates you will enjoy an authentic local experience while supporting our local farmers and community.
Many of the farmgates are open year-round and sell freshly harvested produce grown on their own farms, along with selected products from other local producers. These farmgates range from small roadside stalls, caravans selling seafood, large fruit and vegetable sheds, to specialty farmgates selling dairy, eggs or honey. Some farmgates also offer adjoining cafes, tastings, farmyard tours or the option to pick your own apples, cherries or berries in season. You might meet the farmer or some of the animals that call the farm home. You will be looked after by passionate people who know their farm produce and look forward to sharing their knowledge with you.
