Boat Ramp Maintenance Update – Schnapper Point, Safety Beach and Fishermans Beach
The Mornington Peninsula Shire advises that the planned toe clearing works at Schnapper Point, Safety Beach and Fishermans Beach boat ramps have been postponed to mid-November due to unforeseen permit requirements.
While this delay was unexpected, the Shire is working closely with Parks Victoria and DEECA to finalise the necessary approvals and schedule works for the next suitable low-tide cycle.
All three boat ramps will remain open to the public until the works are undertaken in November. In the meantime, the Shire will continue routine cleaning and safety inspections to ensure ramps remain in good condition and safe for all users.
Boaters looking for alternative or nearby launching locations can visit Boating Vic ramp directory:

We thank the community for their patience and understanding as we work through this delay and will continue to provide updates via the Shire’s website and social media channels once new work dates are confirmed.
