Expanding customer service at Your Local Connection Points

The Shire has expanded its face-to-face services withfour Local Connection Points at Somerville, Dromana, Red Hill and Sorrento.
Located in smaller townships across the region, these customer service hubs are part of a 12-month trial to improve accessibility and ensure all residents have convenient access to in-person support.
Our dedicated customer service officers are on site to assist with a wide range of services—including general enquiries, form submissions, animal registrations, and EFTPOS payments.
Your Local Connection Points also provide additional spaces to access Shire services, such as Storytime sessions at Red Hill or opportunities to meet with a Mornington Peninsula Planner at Sorrento.
The operational hours of each location vary to reflect the unique needs of the community. This expansion comes as the Shire continues to operate three main customer service centres at Rosebud, Hastings and Mornington.
Your Local Connection Points are located at:
Somerville Library: Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm.
Dromana Visitor Information Centre: Wednesday, 10am to 4pm.
Red Hill Village Shopping Centre: Thursday, 9am to 5pm.
Sorrento Community Centre: Friday, 9am to 5pm.
Please note that all Connection Points are closed on public holidays.
Your Local Connection Points are on trial until June 2025. The community is encouraged to provide feedback on the initiative, with feedback forms available at the hubs and via the Shire's website. This input will help us improve services and better serve the community.
