Dromana scores new netball court for game day!
Published on 07 July 2025
Dromana’s netball community has something to cheer about – a brand-new, competition-standard netball court is now open at Dromana Recreation Reserve!
For years, the senior netball teams from the Dromana Football Netball Club have played across the road at Marna Reserve. With the addition of this new court, netball and football can now be played side by side at the Recreation Reserve, creating a better-connected club.
The new court will primarily be used by the senior teams, while the junior teams will train at both the new court and the existing courts at Marna Reserve, which were upgraded to competition standard back in 2021.
There’s more good news too – Marna Reserve Pavilion has recently undergone a $740,000 upgrade, featuring new accessible ramps and decking, updated toilets (including an accessible toilet), and extra storage space.
The redevelopment of Dromana Recreation Reserve has been made possible through joint funding from the Mornington Peninsula Shire ($900,000) and the State Government, which contributed $200,000 via the Community Sports Infrastructure Stimulus Program.
With three competition-ready courts and a recently upgraded pavilion, Dromana’s netballers are ready to take on the competition. Bring on game day!
