2026 kindergarten registrations opening soon!

Mornington Peninsula Shire is excited to announce that registrations for 2026 kindergarten places open from 1 May to 2 July 2025.
Mornington Peninsula Shire manages registration for 31 kindergartens across the Peninsula to make finding a kindergarten place easy and fair. You only need to fill out one form to register for any of these kindergartens.
Why kindergarten matters
Kindergarten is an important step for young children and is strongly recommended for all. Research shows that kindergarten improves children’s health and wellbeing, helps them to develop strong social skills and encourages a love of learning. Children who go to a kindergarten program are more independent and confident and are more likely to make a smooth transition to primary school (Prep).
If your child turns three or four by 30 April next year, they are eligible to attend!
Key dates and how to register:
- On-time registrations open: 1 May 2025
- On-time registrations close: 2 July 2025
- Register online: mornpen.vic.gov.au/kindergarten
- Call 5950 1000 or visit a library or customer service centre
