The project aims to install additional Raised Safety Platforms (RSPs) on Dunns Road between Craigie Road & Mornington-Tyabb Road Mount Martha to improve traffic safety. These treatments are speed calming devices capable of reducing driver’s operating speed reducing the risk of collisions.

The Shire has a strong commitment to road safety through our Mornington Peninsula Towards Zero 2020-2025 road safety strategy. The aim of the strategy is to create a safe road system for the community to reduce road trauma.

Project Scope:

• A total of five (5) RSPs are to be installed on Dunns Road, three (3) RSPs planned for between Veda Avenue and Green Island Avenue, and two (2) RSPs will be placed near the intersection of Caversham Drive and Parkside Crescent, respectively.

• Installation of 20km/h and speed hump warning signage.

• Installation and upgrading light poles to support RSPs visibility.

The civil construction works, including the installation of upgraded lighting arms, have been completed.
