Children's Sea Glass Jewellery Workshop

childrens-jewellery-4

Join us for a fun, 1-hour hands-on workshop where crafty, like-minded children who love the beach can come together and create with sea glass and beach treasures. Drawing on my 10 years of experience, I will guide your child through the process of using sea glass to make a beautiful necklace they’ll be proud of.

During the Workshop they'll learn

  • How to open and close a jump ring.
  • How to collate a necklace using beach treasures.
  • Kirsty will demonstrate how to drill a hole into a piece of sea glass. Children will not be able to use the drill in this workshop.

What your child will take home

  • A handmade cotton adjustable necklace, with max three beach treasures.

Who this workshop is for:

  • Anyone wanting to create with sea glass and beach found treasures.
  • Ages 6-14 years old. All children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the workshop. Please plan to stay for the entire workshop to support your children with their projects. Ensuring their safety is your responsibility, and your presence will contribute to a positive bonding experience for them.

Skills required:

Beginner friendly – no previous experience necessary, just a friendly fun attitude.

What to bring:

Your smiley self. Everything you will need will be provided in this class, including all the sea glass and beach treasures. If you would like to bring your own sea glass or beach found items, you are more than welcome to, please make sure they are washed and dried before the workshop.

How to wash sea glass and beach treasures:

Wash sea glass in warm soapy water, I use washing up liquid, in a strainer and give it a little shake to make sure all items are covered and clean, then rinse off and dry (either in the sun or just on a towel.
