Winner of 2025 AFL Victoria Best Community Football Facilities Project Award
We are proud to share that AFL Victoria has awarded Alexandra Park Pavilion the Best Community Football Facilities Project Award.
Alexandra Park is a shared, multi-use community space, combining sport, health, wellbeing and community usage under one roof.
The Alexandra Park Pavilion transformation represents a true community partnership, bringing together Council, state and federal governments, community groups and AFL Victoria. Mornington Peninsula Shire provided $4.5 million, the Victorian Government contributed $2.9 million through the Growing Suburbs Fund, The Bays Healthcare in partnership with the Federal Government's Community Health and Hospitals Program added $2.6 million toward the shared facilities.
In a remarkable display of grassroots support, the Alexandra Park Project Group raised $400,000 in community donations, complemented by a $100,000 contribution from AFL Victoria.
