Local businesses that are making an impact are invited to put themselves forward for the 2025 Mornington Peninsula Business Excellence Awards, now open until Thursday 15 August. This year, businesses can enter one of three refreshed categories that reflect what matters most to our local community: Customer Experience, Environmental Sustainability and Local Community Connection. Each application will be assessed by a panel of independent judges. To ensure fairness and inclusive representation, awards will be presented to a leading business across three size groups: micro, small, and medium, in each of the three categories. Additionally, one business will also receive special recognition for their efforts in the space of Inclusivity and Accessibility. The Awards are designed to help local businesses grow. Completing the application is a valuable opportunity to reflect on your goals, gain clarity on your strengths and opportunities, and identify areas for improvement. It’s also a great marketing tool through which businesses can gain a competitive edge and build trust and credibility with their customers and partners. Finalists and winners will be announced at the Awards Presentation event on Wednesday 19 November at The National Golf Club in Cape Schanck. Last year, this event saw 255 locals come together to celebrate the people, passion and purpose behind our thriving business community. Entry is free, open to businesses of all sizes and across all industries within the Mornington Peninsula Shire. Submitting an application is as easy as completing an online form, which can be done in steps and saved along the way. To support businesses through the application process, four free information sessions will be held across the Shire throughout July. These sessions will walk through the application, answer common questions, and provide tips to help you put your best foot forward. Whether you’re new to business or have been operating for decades, the Business Excellence Awards offer a platform to celebrate what you do best - and inspire others in the process.
