2nd Mornington Sea Scouts
Our Scout Group, an all-volunteer organisation, contributes to the education of youth via an informal value-based system of progressive self-education, inspired by the founder, Baden Powell. The Scout Method, much copied by both private and Government schools, relies on the following principle elements:
Community Involvement
Patrol System
Personal Progression
Promise and Law
Youth Leading, Adults Supporting
Sea Scout Groups have an emphasis on water activities. 2nd Mornington Sea Scouts have been employing the Scout Method on Scouts Beach for 70 Years.
Our hall at Scouts Beach, next to Mothers beach, in Mornington is the best beach box in the world! It is available for use by all members! And it gives us fantastic access to a small, safe harbour on Port Phillip Bay.
