• Site 5: 19 Tallis Drive, Mornington (Mornington Golf Course)
• Site 6: 46 London Bridge Road, Portsea (Portsea Golf Course)
• Site 7: 35 Sunnyside Road, Mount Eliza (Manyung Recreation Camp)
• Site 8: 3875 Point Nepean Road (Point Nepean National Park)
• Site 9: 74-76 Marine Parade, Shoreham (Mentone Grammar camp)
• Site 10: 62 Oakbank Road, Mornington (Padua College)

The amendment is required to provide a simpler and more consistent set of planning controls for the affected properties, and ensure that the Mornington Peninsula Green Wedge is protected from inappropriate uses, development or subdivision.

Yes. Council decided at the Planning Services Committee meeting onMonday, 20 June 2022to refer submissions to an independent planning panel for review and recommendations. The panel was appointed by the Minister for Planning.

Yes. A Directions Hearing was held on 28 July 2022. The Panel Hearing was held on 5 September 2022 until 12 September 2022.

The panel delivered its report to Council on14 October 2022. All panel-related documents including Council’s submission to the panel and the panel’s report can be found in the Document Library.

Council considered all submissions and the panel’s report and decided to adopt the amendment with during the Ordinary Council meeting on Monday, 31 October 2022. You can view the updated amendment documents in the attachments to the meeting minutes.

Council has notified all owners and occupiers of land affected by the amendment of this decision and submitted the amendment to the Minister for Planning for approval on 10 November 2022.

The Minister for Planning has decided to approve the amendment with changes. Notice of the decision was provided to Council on 11 August 2023.

The amendment was gazetted on 6 September 2023. This means that the planning scheme has officially been changed as proposed by the amendment.
