Friends gathered to talk, play, make things, tell stories and entertain one another.

That's the spirit behind the Winter Parlour.

Hosted by Bookneck, the Peninsula's tiny travelling second-hand bookshop, the Winter Parlour is our series of intimate literary gatherings inspired by the customs, curiosities and creative pursuits of another age.

Our first Winter Parlour sold out, and we're delighted to be setting the table once again.

This time, we're stepping into the Georgian drawing room to discover the art of silhouette portraiture, create our own keepsakes and enjoy some of the traditional amusements that once filled an evening.

Expect candlelight, teacups, conversation, laughter and a few delightful surprises.

Whether you come with a friend or on your own, you'll find a warm welcome around the table.
