Probus Clubs offer a wonderful opportunity to reinvent retirement for those who have left their working lives, or continue to work part-time, and still crave engagement, purpose and camaraderie. Members meet monthly, listen to interesting guest speakers and stay active and involved through a wide variety of activities, Book Club, Dancersize, Bus Trips, Coffee Catchups, Lunch Outings Movies, Theatres and Shows. In July we took a scenic bus trip to Sassafras and enjoyed a wonderful Christmas In July Lunch at the famous Fortnum Restaurant followed by shopping in the curiosity shops of Sassafras.

Come along and join us at our monthly meetings. This month on Wednesday 5th August, our Guest Speaker is Muriel Cooper - From Airwaves to Author. A pioneering media personality, acclaimed author and practising psychologist who brings a unique blend of wit, insight and storytelling magic to her work. She is a legendary personality in prime time Melbourne talk-back radio on both ABC and 3AW. Her diverse and successful writing career spans across genres including the crime/fantasy novel “Lucid” and “Up Shit Creek in A Barbed Wire Canoe”, the children’s picture book, The “Tiger and the Bridge”. She is currently seeking publication of her upcoming novels, “A Treachery of Neighbours” and “The Wound”. President of the Peninsula Writers Club; an advocate for mental health and the voice behind her popular website and newsletter, “The Talking Room”.

Our Club offers a warm, welcoming environment for anyone looking to make new friends and enjoy interesting activities all year round. All of our activities are centred around keeping our minds and bodies active.
