Next date: Sunday, 12 July 2026 | 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Join volunteers from Haig Street Friends Group at a Shire-supported working bee at Haig Street Reserve, Bittern.
At working bees, volunteers can get involved in a range of activities to help protect biodiversity in their local bushland or foreshore reserve. Our friendly support staff will be there to provide guidance, training, tools and equipment. No experience needed.
Please wear sturdy shoes with a closed toe (no thongs or sandals please!), long pants, long sleeves and a hat. Bring along a water bottle.
Please note, working bees may be cancelled or rescheduled at short notice, including on Total Fire Ban days, during extreme weather events, or when they occur on a Public Holiday.
Meeting point: Wellington Road entrance. Look out for the Shire work vehicle.
