Trauma-Sensitive Yoga is a gentle, choice-based approach to yoga that places an emphasis on safety, agency and connection with your body. Rather than focusing on getting poses “right”, you’ll be invited to explore movement, breathing and stillness in ways that feel comfortable and supportive for you.
Throughout the class, different options will be offered and you are always welcome to choose how, or whether, you participate. There are no hands-on adjustments and no expectation to share personal experiences.
These classes are suitable for beginners and no previous yoga experience is needed. You do not need to have experienced trauma or have a mental health diagnosis to attend. Anyone looking for a gentle, supportive and accessible approach to yoga is welcome.
This community program is offered free of charge thanks to the sponsorship by Balnarring Community Hub.
We will be in the small hall. Enter through the main entrance and continue to the back of the building. Free parking available on site.
