Tyabb is a small township located on the eastern side of the Mornington Peninsula, approximately halfway between Somerville and Hastings. In 2006 the estimated population of Tyabb was approximately 1,250 persons, with a housing stock of some 500 dwellings. Tyabb is largely residential in character and includes areas with local commercial, industrial, community/educational and recreational facilities.
The village scale and character of Tyabb and the rural setting of the township are highly valued by residents.
