Council is currently considering an internal proposal to officially name the unnamed roadway running between 21 and 23 Ocean Beach Road through to Riley Lane, Sorrento as shown in the below map.
The unnamed road is vested in Council and requires a name for the creation of property for a subdivision. The proposed name is:
General Lane – 23 Ocean Beach Road on the corner of the unnamed laneway opened in 1902 as a General Store.
Council invites any interested persons to make comment. You may object to this proposal by providing reasons why the name is not appropriate and/or why it does not meet the requirements of the Naming Rules.
Any comments or objections must be in writing and can be sent to governanceteam@mornpen.vic.gov.au, or by mail to Mornington Peninsula Shire, Private Bag 1000, Rosebud, 3939 and must be received by 03 December 2023, within 30 days of this notice.
