Proposed Naming of an Unnamed Road in Capel Sound

Council is currently considering a proposal to officially name the unnamed roadway running along the side of 22 Capel Avenue, Capel Sound due to a subdivision at the property.

Three dwellings have been erected, two of which gain access from the unnamed road. The road requires a name for addressing and emergency services purposes as a minimum. The proposed name is:

Cassinia Lane - Cassinia is an indigenous shrub native to the Mornington Peninsula, commonly found in the Rosebud area. 

Council invites any interested persons to make comment. You may object to this proposal by providing reasons why the name is not appropriate and/or why it does not meet the requirements of the Naming Rules. 

Any comments or objections must be in writing and can be sent to governanceteam@mornpen.vic.gov.au, or by mail to Mornington Peninsula Shire, Private Bag 1000, Rosebud, 3939 and must be received by 14 August 2021, within 30 days of this notice.
