At the recent Tidy Towns Sustainability Awards, Mechelle was honoured with the prestigious Dame Phyllis Frost Local Hero Award, celebrating her tireless efforts to revitalise Rye. Learn more here.

Her projects include turning a polluted storm drain into a thriving wetland, conserving White Cliffs Hill’s rare biodiversity, and ensuring accessibility for all along the Rye Foreshore.

“It’s not just about me,” Mechelle says. “It’s about working alongside the community to make a real difference.”
