Local businesses are encouraged to share their insights in the 2025 Business Surveys, now open until 30 September.

Run in partnership with independent consultant, Metropolis Research, the surveys aim to capture a clear picture of local business needs, challenges and opportunities.

Results will be used to guide future programs, training, and support services - ensuring they are targeted, practical and evidence-based.

Alignment to the Economic Development & Tourism Strategy, Council Plan and Small Business Charter commitments will also be a priority.

Responses from businesses of all sizes and across all industries are welcome. Feedback will help to meaningfully shape the next stage of Council’s economic development initiatives.

The surveys are confidential, simple to complete, and focus on key areas including:

  • Business size, age, and industry sector
  • Current challenges and barriers to growth
  • Support, training, and resources most needed
  • Opportunities for collaboration and innovation

This is an opportunity for businesses to ensure their voice is heard and to contribute to creating a stronger, better connected and more resilient local economy.

Surveys can be completed by phone, online or in person.
