You’ve done it before, and it’s made a difference. Now it’s time to do it again.

Mornington Peninsula Shire’s Budget survey is giving you the power to recommend how funds are distributed across key priority areas.

While the concept isn’t new, the choices and the stakes are! Rising costs and growing community need means your input is more important than ever.

Will you nominate road safety, green spaces, or something else entirely? Choose your top five priorities from 15 key categories and help Council understand where you would like to see greater investment.

Choose from:

  • Road safety and maintenance
  • Protecting green wedge zones
  • Coastal infrastructure
  • Aged, family, and youth services
  • Community crisis and homelessness support
  • Climate action
  • Natural environment care
  • Community facility upgrades
  • Improved waste services
  • New footpaths
  • Drainage and stormwater upgrades
  • New recreational facilities
  • Arts and culture programs and facilities
  • Economic development, tourism, and business
  • Improving planning services and permits.

This year, the Shire faces increasing financial pressures, and your feedback will directly influence how we move forward.

It’s your community, your budget, your call.

Quotes attributable to Mayor Councillor Anthony Marsh:

“One of Council’s most important decisions each year is how we spend public money. By sharing your views, you can help shape a budget that best meets the needs of the Mornington Peninsula community. With more pressure on the budget than ever, it’s vital that this budget reflects your priorities and delivers tangible value for our community.”
