Merricks Yacht Club was founded in 1964 as a small yard on the foreshore for the many enthusiastic sailors and fishermen in the holiday township of Merricks Beach. Since then it has grown into a popular local club which provides a great meeting place for local residents and holiday makers alike.The sailing is friendly and not too competitive and the club has produced a number of accomplished sailors who have gone onto the world stage over the years. We have a keen gang of junior sailors who always look forward to an active junior sailing program over the summer period, for both newcomers and more experienced sailors.
