The McCrae Coastal Group Inc. are community members who volunteer their time to protect and enhance the native plants, animalss and biodiversity values along the McCrae Foreshore reserve. On the first and second Sunday of the month volunteers come together at working bees and participate in a number of activities such as weeding, planting, monitoring, applying for grants and undertaking citizen science projects. The Shire works closely with the McCrae Coastal Group, providing support, training, advice and equipment.
